Hey guys,
I am not sure if this is a problem or normal for these trucks, but my 95 2.3 auto idles to about 1500 or so (guessing because of no tach), then slowly falls to normal idle. Even when warm, I can shut the truck off and then restart it immidiately and it goes back to a higher idle, then slowly comes down. Is this a problem or normal?
I just got this truck from my dad recently with 106k on it. It had some CEL's, so I had to replace the IAC valve, EGR pressure sensor, and EVAP pressure sensor. I also cleaned the MAF. PCV valve, and replaced all the vaccum hoses. I checked every vacuum connection with propane and no leaks. I am thinking if this isn't normal, maybe the throttle position sensor?? The truck runs fine, no CEL's or driving issues. Just the higher idle on startup that slowly falls.
Thanks!
Bryan
