Engine placement and mounting for drag truck

Im planning on swapping the 302 in my ranger for a 351. It will be a drag truck only. So my question is how should i mount the engine and how far back should i set it back? Cutting the fire wall is no problem. Are the motor mounts on the 302 and 351 block the same? I plan to use a c4 or 2speed glide. I already have a the c4. May use it for now also have an 8.8 with 3.73 gears cant remeber right off. Any thoghts are greatly appreciated

All you need is the cab skins. Junk the rest... That is if your building a real drag truck...

Real drag truck. Only OEM parts are the gutted cab, and the 3rd brake lamp.

Street/strip truck...you can pretty much toss it in where the 302 was.

Yea motor plates, thats the words i was looking for just had a brain fart at the moment i posted. What motor are is in that? Is it in a Ranger. What ever it is its awesome. I love to see drag trucks at the track, wether its a high dolloar rig or a working mans weekend beater.

The 351w im putting in is just stock for now until i can stroke it to a 408 or 418. Will i still be able to use the stock style motor mounts with the stroker or will i need the motor plates?
