Hello all
need help
My truck not start.
the battery is new is full.
I checked all fuses, battery cables are clean.
When I want starter. the engine does not turn.
just a sound I hear "clack clack .. clack .."
Do you think a problem with the démareur.
or else the starter relay
THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Give the starter a sharp tap with something heavy, then try to start it again.

 it's not the starter, i think it's the relay starter ...or what else

May be getting a voltage drop across the starter relay. Could put volt meter across the large terminals and measure the voltage drop when trying to start the vehicle.

If you are absolutely sure your battery is fully charged, then it is most likely the Starter solenoid attached to the starter. You could always try arcing the two contacts on the starter solenoid with a screwdriver and see if it starts up. If you are gonna attempt that, make sure your truck is in Park for an Automatic transmission or Neutral with the ebrake on for a Manual. You can also check and make sure the contact points on your starter solenoid are clean and not gunked up with crap, could be a bad connection there.

For the record, i have a 1991 Explorer and when i bought it it had a battery too small for what the factory called for and if that battery was just a little drained, it would not start. It would just click like you are explaining.

Help please

:dunno::dunno::dunno: Hello after much hours
I turn the key to the starter .Dashboard lights come on
I take another truck I connect the battery cables to the battery of my truck ,still nothing
I disassemble the starter solenoid just checked good.
I also controlled the fuel pump shut of switch good
it appears that there is an interruption somewhere of current
I can not understand correctly the translation that gives me google .
there a fuse or relay that would make this interruption possible
I really do not see or seek.
how to test the starter solenoid on my 94
thank you for your help

ive had alot of starter problems. inside your right wheel well theres a 13mm bolt, straight inside you cant miss it, right below the exhaust pipe where it meets the manifold. theres a ground wire there that will keep it from starting, its happened to me and my step dad who also has a b2. take a look at it and make sure the ground cable it there and tight.

i say this because ive replaced a starter and it still didnt work, so give it a shot if its still giving you problems, if you have a question about where i can post a pic?
