Engine Light On, Mpg Dropped

Guys

I was driving my Ranger the other day and hit a pot hole. It wasnt anything major, just a regular run of the mill crappy pot hole. Anyway after I hit it the "CHECK ENGINE" light came on. After that I went from 250-260 miles a tank to 196-215 miles a tank. Now the trunk had a annoying irregular idle, but now that funky idle is totally gone.

Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

If so pull the codes

Yeah Im goin to get them pulled tonight, I just wanted to see if anyone here had any insight to what might be the problem.
