Had anyone ever use engine ice engine coolant in there car or trucks?I read reviews and even saw the ceo video on youtube.it seems like pretty good stuff.let me know

I've never even heard of it...

Nope... buddy of mine swore that "Water Wetter" helped his Jeep run cooler though. Seems like total snake oil to me... if it was that great, why would it not be included in all antifreeze/coolants by now? I can see some logic in raising the boiling temp for racing applications where if your engine temp goes way up, the cooling system still functions since it's not boiling over... but for the average daily driver, why? Waste of money IMO.

If your engine is over heating then its NOT a coolant issue, for sure, 100%, NOT a coolant issue

So that being said you can use any coolant you want
Any engine has a "best" operating temp, most vehicle gasoline engines are most efficient at 185-200degF, this was from a study done by SAE(Society of Automotive Engineers) back in the 1970/80s, you get best MPG and cleaner oil with coolant in that temp range
This is why Ford and most vehicle makes switched from 180degF thermostats to 190-195degF thermostats in the late 70's and early 80's
Just better for the engine

If you are overworking an engine, i.e. racing, then yes you may want to make some changes to cooling system
Running any engine at max horsepower WILL generate more heat, I know DUH, lol, so a rethink of the cooling system would be warranted

For daily driving I just use cheapest 2 year coolant I can find, because I have a 1994, I KNOW I will have a coolant leak at some point over the next 2 years or will need to drain coolant for another reason, so an expensive coolant really doesn't make sense, for ME

I tried to find the MSDS for it and was asked for a password to see it. If they are trying to hide the MSDS it's a safe bet it's a scam.

Its a basic surfactant to break up surface tension and allow better heat transfer.

Soap does the same thing.

Redline has Water Wetter, Royal Purple has Purple Ice, Amsoil had something. Don't remember. I used Water Wetter in my Mustang 5.0 for many years when drag racing. Raises boiling point. Any help you can get really helps, especially when winning rounds or hot lapping.

Most of the reviews I read people used it on atvs motorcycles snowmobiles.but I saw u could use it on vehicles. Its pretty pricey stuff.a buddy of mine uses on his 250r 4 wheeler and he swears by it.just curious if anyone actually used in something other then a small engine.

I could see using it when all normal options were exhausted, but why otherwise?

Yea I just don't see a point paying that much for coolant. Normal coolant is more than adequate for all but the most extreme engines...

Pretty much.i also saw a waterless antifreeze made by evans brand.its almost 50 dollars a gallon.

What antifreeze do most guys use?there's so many brands to choose from?

Motorcraft gold or zerex g05 for the newer cars. Whatever cheap green garbage is on sale for the old stuff. Green crap gets done every other year, gold stuff gets done every 5 years or more depending on how lazy I am.

I think the new edge takes some red crap but by the time that's due I'll probably just change it to gold anyway. I'm not stocking a bunch of different coolant. Never had a problem with gold in motorcraft or zerex brand and it lasts longer than I ever need it to. First time I changed it on my ranger was at like 8 years and it came out just as clean as the new stuff I put in.

I used it in my motorcycle, 2005 Yamaha R1. they run hot by nature. It seemed to run a little cooler. I like it.

From what I was taught, coolant is actually more like antifreeze. It doesn't actually cool, it just lowers the freezing point temp, raises the boiling point temp and acts as a a lubricant and corrosion preventative for the water. it is the water mixed in that does the actual cooling/heat transfer. Where I live, it rarely drops below 35 F, but does get hot, so I run more than 50/50 water in my mix. My water to coolant mix ratio is more like 80/20. Never buy pre mixed coolant, you are paying coolant prices for half water.
