If your engine is over heating then its NOT a coolant issue, for sure, 100%, NOT a coolant issue
So that being said you can use any coolant you want
Any engine has a "best" operating temp, most vehicle gasoline engines are most efficient at 185-200degF, this was from a study done by SAE(Society of Automotive Engineers) back in the 1970/80s, you get best MPG and cleaner oil with coolant in that temp range
This is why Ford and most vehicle makes switched from 180degF thermostats to 190-195degF thermostats in the late 70's and early 80's
Just better for the engine
If you are overworking an engine, i.e. racing, then yes you may want to make some changes to cooling system
Running any engine at max horsepower WILL generate more heat, I know DUH, lol, so a rethink of the cooling system would be warranted
For daily driving I just use cheapest 2 year coolant I can find, because I have a 1994, I KNOW I will have a coolant leak at some point over the next 2 years or will need to drain coolant for another reason, so an expensive coolant really doesn't make sense, for ME
