i was think ing about putting LEDs in the engine compartment to kinda show off the engine. I painted the motor ford red and have chrome valve covers. Do you guys think this would look good. And would it be worth the money to but the LED strips? And has anyone done this and have pics

What about heat?

LED lights do not like high heat. Consider the operating environment before mounting.
Perhaps temporary mounting on a magnetic strip with a plug under the hood would work.

i didnt think about the heat issue but i would only have them on wen i had the hood up. Where im from people have unorganized car shows at the local hangout spot in town and i thought it would be a cool way to accent the chrome and red on the engine. Or would just being around the heat effect them?
