I just had to replace the battery in my truck yesterday, because of a bad cell. My question is has anybody here ever had a energizer battery in a vehicle before, and how do they hold up? I bought it just because it was the cheapest I could find ($52 at Sam's Club), I normaly don't buy the cheapest parts I can find, but I am really low on cash right now.

I use one of their deep cycle's for my electric trolling motor and it's been fine for about 2 years now.

I will last the 3 years or more. But their rating is an over statement. Had one for the Ranger until last Decemeber. I kept it the whole 3 years of its life and I tested it every 6 months. Under a 300A load, it would come back as "Good" at 10.58V. That is just barely passing. And it was rated at 867cca. An Interstate 550cca rates better with a voltage drop around 10.8V or better. When the Ranger had a slight battery terminal resistance problem. I took the first chance to get a better battery (DieHard Platium).

In short, you get what you paid for. It will do its job, but nothing more. Also expect much slower cranking when temps drop below 20*F.

i put one in my old ranger about 4 years ago and its still going.

As of this Summer the the Die Hard label went to East Penn (DEKA).Same Battery I sell.
Die Hard is just a label when it comes to Truck/Auto Batteries.
What is the part number on the Battery? Is it maintenance free?
