1999 ranger 2.5 5sp under the shifter boot console is a large electronic module anyone know what it is for.

look at the arrow on it, it's pointing to the front of the truck.

the only module on your truck that the orientation matters on is the airbag computer, that's what that is.

Thanks guys i guess i will leave it where it is. I am installing new carpet and seats and putting 2 gauges in the console. I sure appreciate the info. when its done i will post a couple of pics. I show the truck at the local car shows, am almost done with the detailing.
