I recently purchased my first Ranger, a 1994 with a 4.0L, automatic. When I got the truck, four wheel drive would engage then disengage as I was driving, resulting in a loud "clunking" sound. I recently tried it and found that the lights on the dash switch did not light and four wheel drive would not engage. I checked the transfer case motor and dashboard switch and both are good. When i push the white button on the module, the red light comes on for approx 30 secs then goes out. I tried this several times and only once did the light blink three times. I do hear the module clicking when I push the 4x4 switch. Is it possible I have a ground problem with the module giving it intermittent voltage? I have run all the diagnostics printed by 4x4junkie and they all seem fine, but still no 4x4. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
