I have a 86 B2 and every time I go to use my high beams it wants to turn the truck off. Any ideas on why this is happing?

Battery or alternator related maybe? I don't know why everything else would work ok and that little juice would kill it, but I'd have them checked. And don't use your brights.

Did the test and everything checked out ok. I'm going to try a different switch and see what happens.

It's not your switch.

There is a little pin in the middle of a big plastic plate right behind the battery. Pull the pin out (you may need pliers) then remove the cover plate. Check all the wires at the solenoid. Mine did this and I chased it for 6 months before finding the positive battery cable was working it's way off the solenoid terminal.
