I'm not totally on board with the electric vehicle thing... and this one isn't even plateable for highway use. Looks like it takes some styling ques from both Jeep and the new Bronco. Also probably to much money for a non street legal toy but it's pretty damn cool if you ask me.

So it's a glorified side by side for really rich people? :icon_confused:

I would love an electric offroader!

It appears that way...

I know some areas get around the off road part of it somehow. I know in Michigan... properly ORV licensed off roaders are able to use certain highway easements for trips into town and such.

The range of it is 200 miles... 480ftlbs of torque. I would sure like to take a spin in one.

What's MSRP, I couldn't find anything on that website.

no idea... you can order one July 15th...

Probably @snoranger's next rig. Then he can sit in air conditioning with his tea while he plays u-boat commander in the big water holes at badlands.

And for the record... it’s not just my SxS that I play U-boat commander with.

Batteries underwater.......................................BAD IDEA

That will be one of the draw backs for off-road electric vehicles, you need a snorkel for ICE, and you would need a water proof container for battery packs for EV, even in a fairly shallow water crossing

The technology is there for it, i.e. the deep diving ROVs, just expensive

They tend not to advertise those silly things like "prices" for things your average person cant actually afford...

I wanted a rough price on a Grady White Canyon 376 once, just in case I ever win the lottery or decide to sell everything I own to take up a life at sea. No one would even discuss a basic price with me, even over the phone to an actual dealer... all I could find is used ones go for about half a million. :ROFLMAO:

The ol' acid batteries worked great on submarines though...

In all seriousness batteries and electric motors are a lot easier to seal than a ICE

There is a lot of very good tech out there for waterproof motors and other electrical connections. There are factories all over the world where they wash down their fancy computer controlled machines every day with high pressure water jets.
