Hi folks.... I hope I am not cramping anyones style.. but I am in the process of converting a 1997 B4000 extended cab truck to a 100% electric vehicle. I'm sure that there will be a number of occasions that the Ranger/Mazda experts here could help me out. In exchange I promise to take all the flaming for messing with the traditional ICE drive. .... and I will try and answer related questions if I can.

welcome to the forums. i for one am very interested in alternative fuel vehicles. for some time, ive wanted to make either a plug-in hybrid or PEV for a daily driver, but just dont have the money. make sure you take lots of pics along the way as this group loves pics!

Welcome. There's been a couple of people join the site that were doing the same kind of conversion, so don't feel like a stranger. And at one time there were a few factory electric Rangers, so that could possibly help you out somehow. Good group here, too, so I think you'll have a good time. Good luck with your conversion.

You may have a big following if you can convert it and save people some money on fuel...with the price of gas predicted to go through the roof I'm sure there are many people who would seriously consider conversion...

Oh, yeah...remember the pics if you have a camera handy...the crowd here does like pics as someone mentioned above...it's a big turn-on...lol!

the pictures have to be hosted on another site such as photobucket or cardomain (both free). then you post the URL of the picture with [ IMG ] before and [ /IMG ] after (without the spaces).
