I went to use my 4 wheel drive today and found it to not be working. The electronic shift button doesn't light up (4 high or low) when pressed and the transfer case motor doesn't actuate when the button is pressed either. Upon further inspection the low oil level light, 4x4 and, 4 low lights on the dash don't illuminate either when the truck is first started or when the 4 wheel drive dash switch is pressed. Before it got dark out tonight I checked the fuse box is the engine compartment and the 20 amp fuse for the 4 wheel drive is fine and I also checked the 15 amp fuse in the interior fuse box which was also fine (interior fuse position #7 according to the owners manual controls low oil light, 4x4, 4 low instrument cluster gauges and I'm also assuming the electric shift 4x4 switches?).
My question is there an in-line fuse also for this, or are they all on a complete circuit? Say if the low oil level sensor goes (or the elec. 4x4 switch for that matter) will the 4x4 elec. shift button also not work and same for the idot lights on the the dash? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
