elec 4406

could i use an elec shift 4406 in my truck with the stock shift knob on dash ????
i would like to do this in my 98 ranger with swap but am not going to buy a t/c till i find out if it will work.
some one said that some one had done this but mite need wires changed
any info or direction to info would be helpful

the bw4406 wont bolt to the ranger transmission...

In that case, yes, it will bolt to the 4R70W. As far as the wiring for the Electric shift version, Its possible but Im sure if you spend some time over on explorer forum you'll find the answers your looking for. Here are a couple threads to start you on your venture...
