Took my truck to have it checked on the OBD-II reader and got an EGR excessive flow (P0402). I replaced the EGR but still get the CEL. I plan on changing the solenoid and DPFE sensor with salvage yard parts (since I get them free) Any reason why I shouldn't?

Update: I got the parts from the yard and it seems to have fixed the problem. Someone had obviously replaced the EGR solenoid before, cuz it was the metal one that I've heard has a tendency to fail.
Also got a pair of bucket seats from a 99 exploder and swapped out the seat rails. Everything bolted up nicely.
