EGR code

I have a 2000 ranger with the 3.0. It threw a code p0401. Which said it had insufficient Exhaust Gas flow. I change the EGR valve and the code keeps coming up after I clear it. Any ideas ??? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!!!

most likely the dpfe sensor. replace it and clear the code. then let us know how it works

What is a dpfe sensor? Sorry this is my first ranger.

its mounted on the side of the intake manifold and has 2 rubber hoses and 1 electrical connection going to it.

before you replace that, you should try cleaning out all your EGR ports..they are likely plugged...and its basically free to clean them.
