I've been battling poor fuel mileage for quite a while. Tonight was spraying some TB cleaner and the friggen red hose blew off the can and into the intake, so I used it as an excuse to replace all of my intake gaskets and EGR gasket
Cleaned it out, the EGR passage in the intake was horrible caked so I cleaned that out really good. Got it back together, some of the gaskets were also not in the best condition so it needed it. Went for a test drive, got a 332 code. I had got one a month and a half ago but it was -14 out so I assume the valve just froze up or something as it hadn't come back. This one is consistent now, I can get it with every KOER test.
Saw a tip somewhere else on the web to hook a vacuum gauge inline with the EGR Pressure Sensor to check and make sure the DPFE was working. Indeed it seemed to check out, it pulled about 12 psi during the test. So I had it idle and tried to suck on the EGR valve as much as I could to open it up and the idle didn't change.
So, I know the intake part is clean... I guess my next step is to get the EGR Pipe off and clean it out? Or is there something else I should check?
