Ok so i have a 97 rangerthat i race off road that were not allowed alot of upgrades, has to be pretty much stock but your allowed some stuff like exhaust, intake and you can get away with chips and porting (stuff that cant be detected easily) ANYWAYS..... I am swapping a 2000 explorer 4.0 OHV engine into the previous 2.3 97 ranger. Problem is the 2000 explorer has PATS and i really am not going to try and deal with anti theft in a stripped down vehicle that i race. i also deleted the egr. SO what i am looking for is an ecu that will give me the highest stock rev limiter, work with no egr, not have to worry about PATS. Want a ECU that will work with my engine not care bout egr and will work with my manual trans. The explorer was auto and i am swapping to manual. which i know an auto ecu will work with a manual but i wanna know which one has higher rev limiter. Any help would be apprecited on which ECUs will work for me! Thanks
