ect connection

hi 97 3.0 ranger. Pinhole leak where the ect goes into the manifold does anyone know what that fitting is called between the ect and manifold?

Without a pic probably pipe fitting, and more than likely NPT.

Leak could be through thread from degraded sealer. I'd first try to remove the fitting then cleaning threads then resealing with Permatex High Performance Pipe Thread Sealer.
