Inside the cab, in the passenger foot well. Take the kick panel off the outboard side and you will find it in there.

This is a picture of my Ranger. The panel that hides it was just tucked in, no screws installed, so I just pulled it off.
There is a plastic bracket that goes in there to hold the computer in place, mine is missing, but this is the proper location.
