ebc rotor question

EBC Ultimax BlackDash USR Slotted Rotors, can these rotors get turned??

I think it is possible to get slotted rotors turned. the problem is finding a shop that is willing/equipped to do it. and if your rotors are above minimum thickness.

yeah I have been told that if you slowdown the rotation you can machine drilled rotors, another issue is you can possibly wear out the bit. Yeah thickness isn't an issue I was looking to buy a pair and I was doing a little research..

The issue is many shops refuse to do it because the gaps tend to shock load the ceramic cutting bits and ceramic cutting bits (Tungsten carbide is technically a ceramic)
chip and shatter.

If you show up with a ten pack of the triangular (six point) cutter bits
They'll probably do it for you regardless of their feelings.

thanks for the input everyone. i don't think i can shell out the cash for the ebcs, I am going to have to look for a cheaper quality front set under a hundred. Anyone want to point me in the right directions, thanks

Check Summit Racing.

They not only sell name brand performance rotors but their own "summit" brand.

I think I am going to go with the duralast rotors, im low on cash

Just put duralast rotors and duralast gold pads on my buddies mustang gt and it stops on a dime now.
