Just an FYI, these tail lights are currently on eBay listed as the Clear/Red model

I know the clear / red are hard to get so I emailed the guy to be sure. His ad is wrong and they are actually the red/smoky model (which I know from experience are more than just smoked, they are basically black). Here is how dark they really are

Just thought I'd thow it out there.

Yeah... not really wise to buy stuff like that on ebay... you never know what you're going to get.

Actually, I got my headlights / turn signals off eBay and they are nice. The smoky tail lights are good quality as well but way to dark for my tastes. The red/clear are either on backorder from the manufacturer or going to be discontinued

gross. The clear red is a nice looking aftermarket 'ricer' tail....I'd actually wouldn't mind owning a set. It's copying the old APC tails of 10 years ago. haha...I had a set of the carbon fiber ones on my first ranger(when I was 16. lol).

It's the only aftermarket tail light out there I like for my Ranger as it is could be an "update" on the OEM light. I don't like any of the other "altezza" lights for the ranger or the tinted out ones and think the LEDs are overkill for my truck as they are not something that would have ever come stock on my truck. Now, if I was doing a 2wd street/show truck that might open up my options.

I don't see how LED's are overkill, they increase people's ability to see you, at least in my opinion they do.

What I mean is that is not something that was available on a Ranger in 1999, let alone 2010. I like my vehicles to have that look of "It looks stock but there is something different about it. What is it?" To me, on the Ranger, LED tail lights does not fit the bill. Plus I can get the look I want with the lights I noted above for a lot cheaper than LED lights.

Then you should look into 2006 Mountaineer or 2010 Mustang's Osram Sylvania L1224R LED's that use fiber optics. I've got 'em in my '06 STOCK Ranger tails and the output is simply AMAZING!!!! All at a cost of about $50 and is ALOT more reliable than the cheapass halfass eBay crap LED tails.

Something to think about...
