Thanks, I guess then it was a dealer installed system. But why ? I originally had a key fob for it that always gave me problems as my XLT is regular cab without power windows or door locks ?

that is a remote start or alarm system. i added an alarm to my 65 mustang and it was like that. i would have removed it and tossed it too if it was on a vehicle i bought without the fob.
