Would you buy auto parts from ebay? like seals. brake pads. clutch kits??

probably not. I normally buy those kinds of parts from a down-the-road parts store. but i'm impatient and don't really like waiting for the mail to arrive.

However, I would and have used ebay to find and buy really hard to find (usually NOS) stuff.

Are you trying to sell parts stegomon?(is that a digimon?) i think you can take them to autozone/oriellys and get store credit as long as theyre in decent shape.

Clutch kit with slave from pimple boys. They quoted me around $400. Some off brand one called bahnhof on ebay is $125 for clutch kit and slave.

And yes my handle name is a digimon. Sort of. Friend of mine had a little brother that could not say my name right. He knew I liked stegosaurus. He liked digimon. So he called me stegomon. One day I was trying to get an email user name started. And loverRangerman84 was taken. I tryed stegomon. Well now stegomon is most of my internet handle names.

for those kind of savings I might buy, as long as the dealer was reputable...and I'd research bahnhof as well to see if the parts quality is worth it. generally you get what you pay for, price wise :-) I went through three AZ and AAP brake switches (around $12 a pop) for my daughter's PT before I said screw that and bought online. Mind you, I bought from Rockauto (try them for pricing your clutch kit), and not ebay...paid $14 for the switch plus about $9 in shipping, but the part I got was worth the price.

I buy most everything I need for my vehicles off of Ebay---as long as I'm not stuck in a ditch somewhere, upside down & on fire. As long as you know the part number of what you want, where it's made, the reputable manufacturer, see a near A+ rating for the seller you'll be good to go. Plus you'd be absolutely amazed at the deals you can find from sellers with 'NOS' parts. My latest score was two sets of Standard ignition points for my '75 Traveler w/Holley dizzy----got 'em both shipped for free right to my house for $8.85 otd. Parts store over here wanted $14.50 for one set. Ouch. Another deal was the complete interior door handle/lock thingy for my wife's '96 Suburban. Brand new, shipped to the house, $13.50. nearest parts people in Hell-A wanted twice that much----plus I would of had to drive 30 miles in traffic.

I use Summit a lot for engine/tranny/emissions stuff but a couple of years ago I discovered Northern Auto Parts. Fel Pro & Victor Reinz full engine gasket kits for under a hundred, brought right to my front door? Sweet......:D

As said, depends on comparable part quality and in my case quality of local parts houses...I'd rather deal with a reputable dealer online than make three trips back and forth to the local parts houses because of mentally-challenged counter people or those who don't understand what customer service is, or care.

I've noticed there are some very tempting prices for hub/bearing assemblies on eBay but I'm not sure what kind of quality to expect from the off brands.

I've bought a clutch kit with hydraulic slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder, so far no problem.
My son buys nearly everything off eBay. Like others have stated, look at sellers reputation and return policies.

Got my clutch kit off eBay new for $72 for my truck and my HEI dizzy for $49 when I did my 5.0 swap and recently my front drill and slotted rotors and ceramic pads kit for $20 less then what AutoZone was going to sell me. Also hit a few misc. things for the truck off there too.
