Clean your room before you criticise the world.
Would you trust cheap ebay front end parts for your truck I found a 100$ little bundle with everything I need but no name brand just wondering how much anyone would trust it

I've never bought any "cheap" front end parts off eBay. Most parts you buy anywhere, unfortunately are made in China. Even from the local brick and mortar parts house, its a crap shoot. For something as important as front suspension, I'd buy name brand local.

I have to second what sam said, when i redid the front end on my build I got the wrong bushings that they gave me for the 83, if it was a ebay sale you would be screwed to return anything that is wrong. at least the parts store will have your back on returns and might be able to offer you good advice before you purchase stuff.

sometimes cheap crap is actually more expensive in the long run.

Depends on what it's going in and how its going to be used. I have used a cheap ebay front end parts kit, but it wasn't on a Ranger. Bought a 95 Probe with a lot of miles and a worn out front end. Bought one of those eBay kits for it and daily drove it for a year at about 60 miles a day plus a couple of ~300 mile round trips. Everything was holding up good when the transmission died at the end of that year. Should have rebuilt the trans and kept driving it, but donated it to tech school and bought a new car instead.

So for a cheap daily driver on decent roads, I'd go for it. On vehicle that you like, or that sees rough roads regularly, or that runs over sized tires, I'd probably stick with good name brand. I'm thinking that your truck probably fits in the latter category.

Having said all that if you need to replace all front end wear components to make the truck safe and drive able, but that's all you can afford, then do it. Just realize that they'll likely wear out fairly quick, and you probably want to install better parts as they go. If you don't need to replace everything, just replace what needs it with better parts and keep on trucking.

My truck had play in the hubs and since it was a cheap truck to start with, I bought a pair of no-name hubs off ebay. Guess we'll see how they hold up, I've heard people don't even have real great luck with the name brand hubs anyway. I probably will only put 5000-7000 miles a year on the truck anyway, so I figured I'd try them before I dropped $300 on name brand ones.

ghunt81, find a part number and do some searching. I got a Timken unit for my 99 4x4 off Amazon for about $80 delivered.

Thanks guys yeah its all pretty clapped out under there and crunchie balding tires and what not questionable steering etc but I'm still thinkin bout it trucks got 267k on it lookin for a another one next spring (still ranger tho)
