I am confused about this. I have sold almost all of my motorcycles and so many items on Ebay and never had this happen. Ebay rules say your bid is a contract and if you are the winning bidder you have to BUY IT!!!! I wonder if that was some kid bidding on it? This so called doctor should have to pay the deposit on it if you ask me. You need to contact Ebay ASAP and tell them that this guy backed out of the auction after he won it and this ruined your auction and you will have to get a lawyer to get this resolved. Try that with them...can't hurt.

I know all about life believe me. I've been hosed the majority of mine. The reason it went on eBay was to get it out to people who wouldn't see it locally. Like I said, I thought eBay was a legally binding contract and if you won it, you bought it. After speaking to them for over 30 mins on the phone all I got was "sorry".
If I go to the cattle auction and raise my number, I just bought a cow. If I don't take it with me cuz I don't really want I still gotta pay for it. I can bitch all I want but I still got a new cow.

Their "contract" just states that you agree to pay or you will get negative feedback.

If anyone lives in the Highland View area of Dallas, TX I need help convincing a guy to stand by his word.

74 EB Early Bronco. Man thats sux. I had to back out of a sale once on ebay, cause the shipping costs turned out 5x higher than i calculater and 50 bux more than I sold the item for. I offered the guy his money back plus an extra 10% as my apologies for an honest mistake with the shipping calculations. He took the money and still reported me, I couldnt sell for two months till I got ebay to listen to the whole deal and prove how much I gave back to him through paypal. Its rediculous. BUt risky. I think you should try and sell it again.

Not to jack the thread but I'm going thru a problem with a jerk on e-bay at this time. My son ordered some 100 w lamps in the ice blue for his X and we had not recived them as of a week past. I went back to my-e-bay and it said that the "seller was no longer registered on e-bay." Was I pissed . I figured it was a scammer. found his e-mail ad, and sent him a pissed off e-mail. got a reply today and he says that he never received an order from me _but he would refund my payment. HTF can you not get the order and then give me a refund? I've been with e-bay since 2000. Never had a problem till now.
