so some guy stopped by and offered to sell me a dana 35 front axle out of a 66 bronco? he thinks he has gears and a new detroit locker for it and said he would gimme it for 100 bucks does anyone know anything about this axle??

It's a d30, and you don't want it.... Hold out for a d44/60 if you wanna go SAS, or use the rangers D35 as it's stronger and easier to get parts for then the old D30.

ya...thats what i was thinking but i knew nothing really about those axels so i figured i would see if anyone had any input
