Eating front pads and rotors

what size are the tires?

if the pads are wearing evenly and not dragging its his driving habits.

my wife could grind pads into dust on one long trip if i didn't get on her ass about it.

i tell her to downshift "my car's not used to that! STOP its going to break my car!"

sounds like your pins are good. When my pin started sticking I could barely spin the wheel and my gas mileage dropped drastically. People say replace the pins but screw that. I just remove the pin and put dielectric grease on it. Works good as new.
I have a 2000 2wd and no one sells the right caliber bracket size for that truck.
I've been to NAPA, O'Riellys and a few other p0-dunk places. Even the dealership gave me the wrong one.

Di electric grease? That isn't really a good lubricant for caliper pins.:icon_surprised: Might look into using and suggesting BRAKE lube or sil glide.......Something that might not go in electrical connectors and plug wires.

Could also be that the flex lines are pinching internally...and need to be changed...this will cause the brakes to lock or stick...

Yes, very well could be.

probable, but not likely.

It's more likely than one would think, and often overlooked.

It happened to me, and it took me quite a while to figure it out...it was actually suggested by someone on here but I didn't follow that advise until I'd done everything else...

They do make a special caliper pin grease...only problem with it is that it's purple...at least the stuff I bought is...otherwise, a necessary thing to keep the calipers moving freely...
