I'm losing coolant pretty fast. The 20 minute drive to work kills almost the whole radiators worth. I've got a cracked head, but its between the intake/exhaust valves, not where a coolant channel is, no white exhaust clouds. no leaks from the radiator (its 3 weeks old) and the heater core doesn't appear to be leaking. Where is it going??? I've put in 3 gallons in the last two days.

If its not spitting it out of the overflow or burning it then its more than likely in the oil pan...

over the weekend i did an oil change, let it settle in some clear jugs; No water there. I did notice that when i start the truck from cold antifreeze blasts out the radiator cap??? I would think it should stay where it is and then drop down when the thermostat opens (which is brand new 180deg) but it does the opposite, when it warms up a bit it overflows. Thoughts?

Nothing should come out of the overflow on a cold startup.. water is supposed to overflow into the overflow tank when pressure builds after the motor is up to temp, sounds like either the cap is bad or that cracked head is over pressuring the cooling system...

Brand new cap and old cap both release pressure from the tank. Guess i've got a cracked head issue. Great. lol
