I agree with the other posts that there is no bolt on upgrade. The rear disc I used was off a 90 lincoln town car. If you can handle turning a wrench it is an easy swap. Take an old town car, marquis,or vic and take the whole nine yards off the back of that car as far as pads, rotors, knuckles, and calipers go. Yes you will need to weld 8 holes and drill 8 holes.kind of a no brainer, if not get a welder to weld the holes and i hope to god you can use a drill. This set up gives you a park brake and a big disc. I have used it for 6 years now. no problems.

Any other questions?

The Towncar brake setup is essentially identical to that used on the 1995-01 Explorers EXCEPT the towncar/Marquis/Vic setup uses two "left side" backing plates.

Yes, the towncar/etc uses 28-spline axle shafts but the housing on the axle end that the bearing lives inside has the same OUTSIDE dimensions as the ends of the explorer axle tubes.... and the same bolt pattern as the explorer.

The disk setup I pulled off a Lincoln is nowhere near the same size bearings or bolt pattern as an explorer. It has smaller pattern and has the same pattern as the small bearing axles.

If you've got access to a hack saw, you can BOLT ON mustang brakes onto a Ranger 28spline 8.8/7.5.
