They have a 24hr webcam on a bald eagle nest in northern Iowa, it is kinda cool to check in on them once in awhile.

They are cool. I am an ironworker and was building the new seafood plant up here in Homer, Alaska. At the time it was the last winter they would feed them a bunch of fish about 10 in the morning. Let me tell you its was wild being up on the steel with 400-500 bald eagles fighting mid air for a heering and a danger to my crew also.

Here's a couple pics. Took them a bit but they decided the purlins where a great roost, sometimes you could be working just a couple feet from them and at that range they are intimidating. The building mfr. liked the second one.

That would be wild. Down here we might see one overy once in a great while, usually eating on a deer carcass in the road ditch.

I did have one sit across the highway from the shop I work at for four hours and preen a couple weeks ago though.

Here's a video for ya too. That was considered pretty aggressive by coming straight to me and thats why I turned the cam off to get ready for an attack. Soon as I did it lept at me and even with me going right on my butt it still knocked my cap off my head.

Cool...I just finished reading a book on both Bald Eagles and Falcons (two stories from the perspective of the birds) and was fascinated by what they do in an average day...

You don't suppose he was trying to see if you were a member of the Hair Club, do you?
