E15 is coming!

Mine has always had an issue with that in the summer, Edelbrocks have the bowls mounted low and are good for it. I also have an electric fuel pump which helps alleviate some of it. Fuel boils out and floods the engine but it is instantly reprimed when I turn it back on. I did block the exhaust crossover in the intake and had a 1/2" spacer too.

It would hot start right away great, let it sit for 10min and it would be flooded. Like I said it did it with everything, I never really noticed ethanol being any worse but every setup will be different.

Edelbrocks are notoriously horrible for it and that is one of the reasons I am currently putting EFI in it.
"Edelbrocks are notoriously horrible". Period. Shiny turds with soggy throttle response. That's why I run Holleys.

Northern Maine isn't part of the N-RFG range. There seem to be 4 main blends of gasoline in the USA: standard, northeastern reformulated, southeastern reformulated, and California. N-RFG is year-round E10 blend with added oxidizer and no benzene. In the winter they dilute it with butane and that causes the boiling issue. I have an electric fuel pump and I have the line wrapped in spark plug wire heat insulation. I have been calling the gas companies in hopes of them committing to carrying at least one type of gas that does not exceed 10% ethanol. I remember looking at pure-gas years ago and discovering all the locations in MA sell in cans only.

I am trying to move north, though. I don't know if I'd make it farther than New Hampshire. As much as I like to pretend that becoming a woodsman is the ideal way to live out my days I sure like getting a paycheck every two weeks.

If your serious about migrating North.. do NOT settle in NH lol. No sales tax.. yeah.. but property taxes are absolutely 100% batshit insane. I have a buddy who lives in Sandown.. under an acre lot.. 900sq ft house.. 10,000 dollar tax bill a year.

My mother has 5 acres and a 2k-ish sq ft house about 20 minutes north of Portland and she pays HALF of that. My best friend has 20 acres and a trailer an hour north of Portland and his tax bill is 800 a year.. another buddy has like 40 acres and a log cabin a little east of bangor near the coast and hes only hit for around 2k a year..

I'm not sure how expensive Vermont is to live in... But it's certainly a beautiful state.. and it's pretty even as to how far north it is compared to NH so.. mabey that's your ticket.

15 years and that was my only real complaint. Throttle response was excellent, it was very reliable and got pretty good mileage.

Fortunately, I live in a state where we have a choice at the pump. Most stations here offer E10 and regular, no corn. Several have three nozzles. Red is E85. Yellow is E10. Black is 87, 89 91 no alcohol. Also there are several stations selling 93 octane. My three bikes appreciate it. There is one Shell station selling 100 at the pump. A station I buy 93 from, you can give him a five gallon container, he goes round the back, come out with it full of purple great smelling Sunoco 110. Guys with old school hotrods pour it in there tanks right there.

Besides, look at what is happening in commiefornia. The two top contenders for Guvnor are Republican. And in commiefornia, the two top contenders go on the ballot. Imagine that, two Republicans could be on the ballot, no demonrats. One of the top contenders says CARB is gone his first day on the job. Even the dimwits are starting to ape that. CA is looking to eliminate smog checks, and it is POPULAR with the people there.

I live in a state with no smog checks. It is a small slice of heaven.

i didn;t even know what e10, e15, e30, etc was till i opened this thread.

i geuss its not really something that talk about much here in south texas.
