I have a 1983 Diesel ranger. It runs great, and looks good. The only problem I've had from 'er is that the ebrake pedal won't pop back up after I pull the release. It also doesn't make any "clicks" when I push it down until the very bottom it'll click like twice. At first the only problem was not making any noise, then it started doing this. If I pull on the ebrake cable it'll pop back up and work a couple times, but then it just screws up again. Anyone know a fix for this?

the cable needs adjusted underneath the truck. As for not releasing, inspect the release mechanism to make sure its working properly. On my '92 the release mechanism bent, so I bent it back and reinforced it by welding some 16ga sheetmetal to it.

The pedal is actually very easy to replace otherwise...as long as the metal behind it is in good shape...I snapped one bolt trying to remove mine and ended up having to drill through and bolt it...easier with the fender off...and that's only about ten bolts to remove...if you go that route, inspect it closely for rust...
