Hey guys im about to do the duraspark conversion to my 84 B2 and was wondering if i can just use the ignition modual from a 78 pinto instead of buying the duraspark " blue". if i could find the duraspark box i would use it but all my searches have come up empty, thanks

You can get a new duraspark ignition box from Autozone for $28. there always in stock. You will need all the parts listed under the tech libary http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/2_8Duraspark.html

The 78 Pinto or Mustang box should be the same and the F102 Duraspark box from Autozone. As long as its for the 2.8 and not the 2.3 or other engines. The Duraspark setup is easy on an 84. Thats what mine is, it took a few hours to get the duraspark done. Removing the old wires was a pain but everything else was easy. Just read the wright up and do what it says. :headbang:

F102 is the Autozone part number there are some on ebay also using that number but yes the used one your talking about will work if it has a two and a four wire connectors and the GM HEI 4 pin module also works good and easy to wire.
