Duraspark II ignition Question

I'm also I the process of doing a swap, I had the wiring for the motor but after 30 years it's pretty well just crumbles. Instead I m going with a hei distributor a lot less wiring and easier to hook up. Just a idea for ya

I have the Hei distributor also but is that the wire harness ill be needing ??

I made a Duraspark harness using the Delphi weatherpack connectors. I had to change the connectors on the dizzy and brainbox but it works fine. Purists might not care for it but it is easy to put together, take apart, find parts for and is tough enough to be used in many off road industries.

No way I would spend $144+ for a stupid pigtail.

You will not need that for the huge HEI dizzy either.

HEI is huge but simple one wire is nice and I'm seeing alot of guys going to that or msd distributors.

Go with a MSD6A box and a pro billet distributor. Connects right up and works as a package. The system is powerful and dependable. Another nice feature is it can be used in any system so if you decide to upgrade to EFI for more HP it easily adapts with a harness made for your system.
