What does everyone do to plug the hole from pulling the efi wiring harness out? I am thinking maybe a body plug from a trunk area or something in that oval shape, but haven't been able to find anything yet. Does everyone just cut the wires and reuse the plug. I have deleted all the excess wiring out of my engine bay already just curious about plugging that hole if there was a common solution already in place.

Yup. I took the rubber plug off the wiring and filled the hole with silicone sealer and put it back in the firewall.

I know I have seen plugs before of different sizes in similar shape and size, but haven't gone digging around the junk yard yet to find a suitable one for the purpose. If I get ambitious and have time on the next run to the yard I will see if I can scrounge one up and post up what I find. Otherwise I will just use the stock one with a plug to fill the wire hole...

Thanks for the replies.

I used the stock one off the factory wiring. All I did was cut one side so I could get the wires out and then filled the hole that had the wires and put her back in the firewall.

I did that at first, then ended up using a rubber plug from the cab side of a truck bed, had to trim it a little bit then it fit perfectly. Can't remember if it was from a ford or dodge. Its one of those plugs about an inch off the floor on the beds "firewall". Shouldn't be hard to figure out what its from. Just take a peek into a 94-00 ram and a 97-03 f150's bed in the parking lot

Good to know as there are alot of 97+ f150's at my local yard. For me, Ive left the plug open for the past year :icon_thumby:. not like its going to leak in anymore water that what already gushes in behind the firewall.

Pulled the wire harness out of the plug and stuck a 3/4" pvc cap in it, fir perfect.
