I need a replacement 3 wire connector that the distributor pigtail plugs into.

I need the locking lugs on the "top and bottom" like this:

All the ones I find (including the one in the tech library) have the locking tabs 90* off.

I did try MSD # 8869 thinking I could just cut the MSD end off and run that. It only has two wires which could be overcame BUT it is completely open on the back and has no sealing whatsoever... basically it is meant for a fairweather street car.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Id start hittin up some junkyards. If you cant find one lemme know, we got some yards close by with a few dents and other assorted 70s fords. Im sure i can find ya one.

I have fought JY ones before, I think I have been thru two of them and I have another one yet. I converted it to GM weatherpack which really works great... but if I ever have to change the pickup I have to mess around changing the connector. If I drive this thing to Ohio I don't want any ignition shenanigans.

I don't get how EVERYONE calls for the wrong connector on something so common...

Is there a part # on the plug?

It has been years since I wrote them off, I would have to dig thru my stash to try to find my last survivor. The last one gave out in the middle of a snowdrift in my soybean field and I had had enough. Now my pickup coil is bad so I am revisiting it.

I have yet to find anything for a number for the correct connector aftermarket though.

Tommorow or possibly tonight ill look at the plug and harness on my 77. See if i can extract some useable part number someone can cross,

I don't see anything in your link?

I picked up a CG32 connector for the ground wire and just used the MSD connector. I see it is what the new $100+ harnesses have.
