is their a way to un hook the dummie lights to my abs brake and parking brake light on my 90 ranger.

you could take the dash out and unplug the bulbs...

or you could fix whatever is causing them to illuminate...

Haha, I have the same two lights one and are bugging me. The abs works though.... The light is on, but it works. And the brake warning light is also on. I was going to take into Shop class in the next couple weeks and pull the codes though becuase it bugs me knowing that SOMETHING, somewhere, is wrong or not working.

i've seen the ABS light turn on because of a wheel speed sensor. I belive that was the cause, don't quote me though. The red brake light could illuminate because of the portioning valve in the master cyliner is moved slightly over.

On my old 91 Mazda B2200 the brake light came on cause the parking brake wasn't opening the connection causeing the light to turn off. It was one of the hand brake ones slightly to the right of the steering wheel. One night I had to get somewhere real quick and slammed the brake in and the light turned off never to be abnormally seen again. Don't know if that will work for the Ranger though.

light

Red neck fix, cut a 1/2" square from electrical tape and stick it to the cluster lens over the offending light or lights.:D

i believe the brake warning light will come on if you are low on brake fluid also. might wanna check that.

Brake light does come on if you have low brake fluid. There may also be a problem with the switch. It is by the pawl mechanism where the p brake pedal is pivoted. ABS problems may be caused by the same things, or may be caused by bad sensor. There should be only one on your rig... on the rear differential. I removed my ABS light because I don't care about ABS working.

wellya i was looking under the the dash and took out the ash tray and discovered a wiring thing a a orange and black wire and a blue and back wire and a red wire that some one stripped and left open im wondering if i could fix the lights from this little thng withwires comein out
