I appolgize for the storys legnth...well if the was one i would get it again for the second time in three months, first was the height restrictions problem. now two in the same weekend (i'm sure if my truck could talk it's pissed!!!) anyhow first my mom gave my her non-running ranger 4x4 for a early christmas present that i have been beging for, for months so i go out to my grandmother house where its been sitting for at least a year. i want to pull it out of the hole it made so i take my brother with me to steer it. we get there we relize we forgot the keys but luckly it was unlocked pluse the driver side window got broke out and is being covered by a trash bag. so he gets in i back my truck up to the back bumper and attach my pulling chain i tell him to make sure its in nutrual, i get in my truck tighten the chain and pull slowly nothen happens i look in the mirror and my brother is banging on the back window i get out he says how can i steer if the wheel is locked. i said i dunno :icon_confused: i'll just pull enough to get it out of the hole and well bring the keys next time. so i get back in my truck this time getting a running start i yank again i feel it moving so i thottle it to keep it moving, once out of the hole and pulling about 10 yards i stop :icon_idea: i look back in the mirror and think to myself ok you can hit the brakes now BANGright into the back of me and it sounded like both beds had been destroyed so he comes running up to me freeking out the brakes don't work either!!:icon_rofl: but luckly no one was hurt and it didn't do any damage we just hit bumpers. that was the first . the secound happened yesterday i went to autozone to get some things i needed for my truck and girlfriends car. i leave my truck running i get out and look at it to make sure it dosn't roll (e-brake dosn't work) :icon_idea: i go in get what i need i'm standing at the cash register and one of the employees says your truck rolling i turn to see it half way across parking lot ang gaining speed (the lot is completly down hill to the four lane main street), i start sprinting out the door to see it jump the parking block then jump the curb to a two foot drop down to the side walk then roll into the center lane of main st.:icon_surprised: luckly the cars saw her coming and stoped and the curb and droped slowed it down enough to keep it from going all the way across the street to the house that was minding its own buisness. i get in drive it back into the parking lot and shut it off:shok: one of the emplyees says you should by buying a e-brake cable insted luckly i was the only customer there at the time so know was was there to make fun of me:icon_rofl: so i go hme and park her and look underneth to check for anydamage but i thank she'll be OK:icon_confused::sad: so that was my weekend how was yours:icon_rofl:

Wow. Long story, do you know why that Ranger doesn't run? And why the brakes dont work?

My weekend - I finished up the 4.0, M5OD and BW1354 swap into my BII, that was fun(not!)

:D

it has a 2.9 and it origanlly had blown head gaskgets i thank and the engine is half apart and was left to rought.

why would you park on a hill with the engine running and no parking brake ........ thats first grade stuff..........

the paking spots are flat and down hill from there but i've left it there before and had no problems. trust me i know was being completly stupid and deserve all the critisium i'm just glad know one got hert and know one i know was there to see it. it'll never happen again.:nono:

You know i had a driver do that. leave his tractor idling and walk away with out setting the parking brake. it rolled into a flatbed and cause $3600 damage to my tractor. That is the only time i have ever fired anybody while they were out on the road. I sent both mechanics and the service truck to go get him and the tractor. A guy that dumb does not need to be driving a truck........ and I am not saying that nobody is allowed to make a mistake ......... but when somebody could get killed ..............

Holy ****, where did you learn english?

I'm seeing a pattern here....

traitor! but i guess you had a lot of stuff on the b2 you didn't want to transfer:thefinger:

thats what i was thinking

Lol, me a traitor?? Why!

nothing wrong with a 4.0 :D

Dude! Why not just shut the truck off? Is it that nice an area you live that you can leave the truck running without it being stolen?

:icon_rofl:Maybe he couldn't...his g/f was in the truck and was listening to the radio...

Sorry...no offence...couldn't resist...
