so i got this eagle alloy rims on my truck, well mine were used when i got em
but obviously years of abuse, dust, mud and lots of dog pee had left marks on them. they have some scratches and stains.
so i was thinking, is there a way to restore them? i saw a guy with similar rims, all dull and suddenly they were shining like new, but i couldnt ask him what he did.
i was thinking about sanding them with a 1000grit sand paper to remove the superficial layer thats scratched, and stained and then some car paint rubbing compund, and then the usual metal polish i use to shine them up. Is that a good idea? or theres a better way?
this is how they look before polishing em
after the first round of metal polish
second round
the shine lasts for a good time, but i really want to make em look better.
