Duff lift and what else?

All my buddies call it a "Dorkel" lmfao:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I already like your buddies...

Not sure I'm going extreme enough for a dorkel haha. I've been pinching pennies all summer to justify spending that much but I think it will be worth it in the long run. Pennies all gone now. Just placed the order. Annd the price of the kit went up by $200 since last month. Damn it.

I know all about the pennies being gone... I'm hoping I can get my new rig to at least be some level of controlled chaos.

I also want to tell all you Bronco II folks to post some of your antics... modifications and adventures over on the Bronco Corral. The site needs some traffic... I get lonely over there and no way I can answer all the questions that people have. Some of y'alls expertise and information would be welcomed.

@ecgreen @RumPunch @tw205 @RobbieD and anyone else with a Bronco II

Wanting to do the 3" Duff as well did you get extended arms too? I tried ordering a while back bare but they would not do it... really don't want bright blue under my truck but cant seem to justify sandblasting it off and redoing in black just to spend more of those pennies....

Call Duff and see if they will just send you a bare metal lift. Seems like they would do black at one point too.

Blue is my favorite color and it looks good under a lot of vehicles but sometimes it just kinda clashes... with red in particular.

I'm really hoping the blue is close enough to the stock color it doesn't look goofy. I would have ordered it in black for that reason if it was an option. But, yeah, I went with the extended arms.

Yeah, my Pig is blue, so it matched well

Tried calling already, blue is all you get.... No bare...

mnewman,

The best thing I have ever done to both my Ranger and even more so on the BII, was add the dual 60/40 shocks from James Duff (two 60/40 shocks on each corner). They makes the suspension work on an entirely new and correct level.
I can explain how any why it works but more importantly, YOU WILL NEVER be happy without it!!!

This set up from James Duff virtually eliminates body roll and forces the suspension to do what I want it to do, not what gravity would have it do 😉

Did you go with the dual shocks or single?

Not a dorkel when you need it.

The idiot who hydrolocks and stalls half way across the stream crossing is the real dorkel.
No streams around here. Except maybe through downtown streets on a rare rainy day.

That's some good news! I did go with the Stage II kit that has the dual shock mounts. Kinda a no-brainer for me when I saw that the only rust on the frame was in the right front coil bucket. There's a flakey spot right over that pesky channel thats between the bucket and frame. I'm hoping I don't have to weld in any patches on the frame itself but we'll see when I get in there.

mnewman,

James Duff sells a bolt on bar for the rear with the 2 extra upper shock mounts, very SOLID and required for 2 per corner.

I can't find anything on their website about dual shocks on the rear for the ranger / BII. Maybe I'm just missing it.

I've had a pile of boxes in my living room since Saturday and not enough time to even more them to the garage. Great start to the next phase of the project haha
