Hi, does anyone know the lenght of the custom shaft needed for the doubler? Because the transmission output shaft I got(for free) wasn't from a RBV transmission, it's an older Ford manual 3-speed transmission. The splines are the same but longer, so I can't just cut at the end of the splines. So if anyone can help me, thanks a lot!

I believe it depends on the doubler. Some are longer than others.

It depends on how you set yours up. Some set them up with a plate between the two cases, some, like mine will be, have some space between the two cases consisting of two plates and a piece of tube.

yeah you're right, I forgot that... it's for this one:

with a 1/2" plate between the two cases.

The total length of the shaft should be 5 7/8” and the output spline length should be 2 1/16”.

Thank you! and with this lenght, is the shaft a little loose and tends to slide in the splines or it fit perfectly?

Thanks a lot, you were very helpful!
