I have on 02 ranger and I'm gonna drop it with the djm 4/6 kit but I need some shocks.
So my question is does anybody know a part # for the shocks from a parts store or where the best place is to get them?

I was just going to ask this same question....beat me to it.
I know LMC truck sells them for about 60 bucks a pop US, but i was wondering if anyone else sold them for cheaper...i hate spending money.

I'm looking for somthing that will work on a 88bronco2 with a 3/4 drop, it dont matter if the shocks are for a ranger i'll make em fit.

NAPA has a shock spec. book.......if they let you look through it.......you can pick the shock that has the closest compressed/normal ride height/extended dimensions to you fit your need....then order the shocks from them.

I want a smoother ride, so I'm gonna look up car front shocks in their book that fit the ride height on my '89 Ranger with a 3/5 drop.

If you're looking for a firm ride......look in the truck section of the shock spec. book.

nitro slammers, doetch tech. they work awesome. im dropped 4/5 and it rides great. check out illusivefabrication.com he is a sponsor on here and has great prices.

FYI, dropped 6 in the rear your gonna want to seriously look into a bolt in notch to get some travel back.

Thanks for posting that up. Yes I sell alot of the nitro slammer shocks to ranger guys and gals and everybody seems to love the ride on them and refer them to others. Here is the direct link to them http://www.illusivefabrications.com...og&file=product_info&cPath=85&products_id=218 if you have any questions please feel free to email me brian@illusivefabrications.com

its a little firmer than stock but comfortable. and yes I would reccomend the mini notch. Im dropped 5 in the back and hit the shortened bump stops on medium bumps. a mini notch would improve the ride.

x2 im lowerd 7 in the back and i would strongly recomend the mini notch

Im dropping my 94 and have been really impressed with the shocks i have on my stang. so im debateing putting a set on my truck. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/STR-S6000EM/ your call ill post some pics and tell yallz how it rides as soon as i get the dough to pull it off... :icon_hornsup: im also incorperating a 4 link system in to that set up so it should be an intresting build
