im 18 and am doing a v8 swap for my first alone project i have a set of drop beams for my 88 ranger ext cab:icon_confused: and i want to put them on but im afraid that if i dont have stiffer springs the tires will hit the fenders when i hit a bump or pull into a drivewa?? any help appreciated

Easiest fix for that would be to run shorter tires.

is there such thing as spring rate for ranger springs can i just get springs with a higher rate? n i cant go any shorter on the tires its because they stick out a little bit

You could run springs from a supercab truck equipped with a 4.0, i imagine they're a bit stiffer.

im going to try to upload some pics of the v8 swap under that catagory if ya care to see...

so you're running the mustang wheels? If you run the stock size mustang tires, you won't have problems with rubbing. If you're like me and run stupid tall tires, they'll rub lol.
