True. With a few exceptions which I will list below.

1. Build Quality
2. Fit and finish
3. power v. fuel consumption
4. Comfort
5. Interior room
6. Parts content quality standards
7. Company backing for potential problems (think rotting frames at Toyota Vs. the A4LD debacle)
8. Equipment offered (like lockers in the rear)
9. Factory Ride height (my taco is nearly 3 inches higher from the ground than my ranger)

I do wish the Tacoma's were built a bit more like the Ranger inside though. With the suspension on the Tacoma the way it is I would find it useful to have some squeaks and rattles to let me know when the road is bumpy. :icon_rofl:

I tell myself that because I actually have both. I have a point of reference and experience with these vehicles firsthand. It's all based in fact. Not some anti-japanese theory that is likely passed on from generation to generation since no one wants to learn that the world and economy has changed.

If you need to hate Toyota so much go ahead. You can keep finding new and exciting ways to fix annoying issues. Why don't you find a way to make my transmission stop hunting for a gear between 45 and 50 since Ford can't seem to do it.

I like how you try to sneak a comment in on an earlier post. I worked in a Toyota dealership for quite some time and never saw a single locker failure. Good thing they didn't have Eaton build it.

Hahahahah keep tellin yourself that, this is getting too dam funny muhahaha

Silly boy. Just can't understand reason and facts. Each generation just gets dumber than the last.

Since you are so amused at your own ignorance, why don't you learn to spell while you have a few minutes.

I'm sorry but your kinda of being a Ri-Tard. I work at a toyota place but I know for a fact its basically the only truck in the world that comes stanard with 35's and lockers and all this stuff and its better then stock rangers.... Well no S*(T its better! It probably cost an arm and a leg! I could take a euro ranger or stock toyota and build it up to those specs for less money i bet!

Actually after about 20 minutes of searching I could find no where that the toyota comes from the factory like that... I found a few Seperate companies that built them (like in the Top gear episode where arctic trucks or whatever builds them like that) but not the actual company. They are like the Saleen (Arctic truck) of ford (toyota), they take ordinary factory mustang (Yota truck) and soup it up with factory finish like aftermarket performance.

LOL. I just read your past posts. Proved everything I need to know. I would say you don't know crap about Toyotas but your past posts tell me you don't know crap about Rangers either.:icon_rofl:

Yea i wish i was as kool as you, then id know it all.

Wrong again. I don't know it all. I just know to shut my mouth when I don't know, which is a skill you may find advantageous to learn someday. :icon_thumby:

PS With that atrocious spelling you will never be as cool as me.

This is getting dumb... We know he knows cr@p about sh!t. he is just going to keep coming with more Retarded comebacks. Let him live in his own world. :icon_rofl:

That is a safety thing vs a mild reliablity thing. My '85 has had the same weakest possibe A4LD in it for 8 years with no problems whatsoever, I just stuck it in out of a junkyard truck just to get thru highschool and it hasn't quit on me yet (or how old the JY tranny was and what it had been thru for that matter). The one that was in it died after I had it two years, the truck was 17 years old so I don't know how hold it was (or what it had been thru). My parents '94 Explorer has 180k on its original A4LD, still shifts perfect. Aside from the frames there are a lot of older Toyota pickups running around here with no rocker panels from the wheel wells down... and they never volunteered to do anything about that either... because unless it is something that is a safety issue they will not issue a recall about it, a TSB maybe but no recall.

One might recall Ford's cruise control issue, everything that had that switch got fixed whether it came with a bad one or not... that was a lot of vehicles.
