Hi guys, I have a 5 speed manual from an 85 ranger and I will be putting it in my 89 Bronco 2. where the driveshaft connects to the manual transmission and t-case there is a CV style connector. My bronco has a flat plate with 4 bolts on the t-case instead. I want to know if I can swap the broncos newer connector out for the old CV style connector on the manual transmission? I don't know exactly what the part of the transmission is called, its just what you bolt the driveshaft too.

any input on the subject would be great

manual Mitsubishi 5speed (ranger)
automatic a4ld (bronco 2)

Are you swapping t-cases too?

Pics would be great too, my on my '85 Ranger the driveshaft has a yoke flange that just bolts on with four bolts.

I think hes talking about a fixed yoke (bronco) and a slip style yoke on the ranger.

I believe the transfer case rear drive shaft attachment can be swapped to what you need assuming drive shaft is the correct length
1350/1354 have same splines
You get the replacement seal for the yoke or flat plate style you will be using, its outside diameter is the same but inside is different for the two styles

As far as I know the only slip yoke on a Ranger t-case (1350) is for the front driveshaft.

Both my '85 and my '86 parts truck had flat mount flange yokes that bolted onto the t-case flange.
