i have a 98 mazda b3000 4wd. i believe i need ball joints on the deivers side.
i jacked up my front end and i was able to move the wheel up and down and
left and right a bit. but i am not sure if its the lower or the uppper ball joint that is bad. plus my chilton book says the lower ball joint cant be replaced. it says the entire lower control arm needs to be replced. i attached some pics.
any help would be appreciated. thanks wolfy:dunno: "C:\Documents and Settings\Manny\My Documents\100_0764.jpg" "C:\Documents and Settings\Manny\My Documents\100_0763.jpg""C:\Documents and Settings\Manny\My Documents\100_0760.jpg"

If it moves left and right sounds like either tie rod end or wheel bearing.

The lower joint is replaceable separate from the control arm...they weren't when they first came out but now you can get a replacement joint.

You should really have someone wiggle everything for you while you look/feel for play in tie rod ends, wheel bearings and balljoints.
