Hi everybody! I have a 02 Ford Ranger and driver side headlights are dimmed.. I check the fuses, everything was OK. Grounding was good too. So any advise would be appreciated. Found out the hard way last nite that they were dimmed when I was driving in ice rain in the highway, 2WD. Couldnt see shit lol, not good!

Check the physical connection of the light and connector, it may not be plugged in all the way or it may be corroded.

^ Unlike your Gen. Ranger, the 2001 + you have to actually remove the whole headlamp from the truck in order to get at the bulb connector. It would be impossible for it to just come loose.

That's interesting. I'd still pull it off and check the connection for corrosion.

So I checked the connections, nothing corroded or anything like that. But their will be times that the headlamp is dimmed and other times, its working ok. Mmmm....
