This is getting very annyoying. I had them adjusted/loosened twice but it always gets tight again. emergency brakes cables changed same thing. Had new brake hardware new adjuster new brakes swapped drums same thing. Drum gets super hot every time I drive and with the new brakes its actually worse. Spent about $400 on this and getting no where fast. Another shop I took it to said it was the axle bearing which I didn't believe. The current shop I went to mentioned nothing about the bearings.

Perhaps the new auto adjuster is installed backwards.

I think everything was done correct

I'm starting to think maybe the e-brake pedal mechanism is not releasing properly? But then if that were the issue then wouldn't both drums should be would be getting hot not just one side? I figure since I had all this work done I might aswell try getting another e-brake pedal mechanism from the junk yard since I have done everything else, does this sound like a good plan?:dunno:

Here is a shot in the dark , when you put on the e brake , the right cable will put on the ebrake but it wont release it . I had the same problem with mine , replaced the right ebrake cable , no more problems

if only it were that simeple for me, I have already replaced all my e-brake cables.

are the return springs on the ebrake by the frame , if they arent there then the ebrake wont work correctly
also check the operation of the pedal and see if it smooth and returns , if it doesnt lube it with some spray on grease
