88 b2 manual window doesn't work. when I got it tbe handle woulsnt move at all so i forced it. Whoops. Now it just spins and there is no pressure no pops no nothing so i need to replace the guts I'm guessing? But when i looked behind the panel tjere isn't any room at all to get my hands in there. I'm sure someone knows where to start or have had the similar problem. Thanks in advance. P.s I HATE not having why window roll down while wheeling or just drivinf in general so help!

Well, chances are you need a new regulator. There is a possibility that you broke the bushing out of the track, but you won't know for sure until you open it up.

Your going to have to drill out the rivets, and replace them with nuts and bolts

I think he means the door panel?? You have never removed a door panel before?

And are you Andre The Giant? I assure you that once the door panel is fully removed the structure of the door is quite open.

You may also have stripped the splines off the handle. Get in there, see what moves, but I'm willing to bet the regulator is frozen up. I have a pair of good manual ones if you find that to be the issue.

Power window motors, poweer lock motors, track etc, its all in there. And it all goes in and it all comes out. Hands will fit, but you have to be smart about it.

Seems easier to get a new door. I've never seen another b2 with the same paint As mine. I would like new fenders but can't find them anywhere

You are kidding right?? rReplace a door because the window isn't working? You are making this much harder than it is.

He's a typical American youth. He would rather replace the whole assembly than bother put a single little part in it.

People are always judging and being dick heads on here ^^ in perfectly capable of changing the parts out. I just don't want to. Don't comment on threads If you don't have anythibf positive to say regarded the help that is wanted.

I believe that is exactly what I just accused you of. So stop throwing stones in the same post that you admit to what you are accused of.

Now here is a pic of the guts of the door:

This is from an 89 and so it is actually much more closed in than your door since it has the mounting for the speaker that your door does not.

You guys are honestly rude.. I don't understand it. You can't be positive and help with the problem at hand. Who wouldn't rather change 4 bolts then grind rivets at all that jazz. It'll probably be cheaper for the whole door from a junkyard. So where am I wrong? I dobt get why you have to put me down to make tour point. Very confusing

That would be a lazy mans way and every one hear is about Fixing the problem and not going to a junk yard to get a new door if the old door is not fd up in any way except the window part witch is easier to fix then going to the local junk yard and ripping a door off another vehicle just because you decide to be lazy and not do any work for your self.

And then you think you got the balls to make a post wanting help to fix the window and turn around and say hey i will just replace the whole door. Just because it is easier to replace the whole thing instead of a little part. My 87 b2 has the same problem but with electric window and you don't see me posting something on how to fix it then saying i will just replace the damn door because i am just to damn lazy to fix it right and be proud that i was able to fix some thing even though it is small.

i just replaced the motor on my passenger side, and its an 89, with the speaker in the way. it was a little bit of a pain taking it out, but puting it back in was easier. and cheaper and easier than getting a new door, praying that everything inside is in working order, sanding it, priming it, matching the paint, then painting. im guessing your truck doesnt have a new paint job, probably factory paint? which will make paint matching much harder, and more expensive if someone else does the work.
